Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very famous. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she had to face a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being unwelcome. Her confidence began to grow in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition and was highly praised by the judges for her vocal ability. The experience not only increased her confidence but also changed the direction she pursued in her career. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from Julliard School in New York. In 1993, she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her role as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater recognition. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced one single and an extended piece. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
