Silk was born Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, director and producer and also a professor at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter who was a renowned academic. Anna recalls some of her earliest memories of life when she went to watch her mother's performance in play rehearsals. Silk was a small girl in a variety of commercials. Her Bachelor of Arts was awarded from St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its early years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto to further her acting career in the month of November 1999. She later, in the following decade relocated in the following decade to Los Angeles, California. Silk met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting workshop in Los Angeles, in 2007. They were engaged in 2009 and were married in an official ceremony in the month of December in that same year. On April 10, 2011 they reaffirmed their vows at the context of a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism.
