Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford, is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all females in the late 1970s. Their punk rock music and rebellious lyrics got them noticed by the rock community. The band was not able to achieve major success in their home country of the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. After the band split in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career with heavy metal. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut self-titled album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and was largely absent from the world of rock for around 10 years. The smash hit 'Lita' was released in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only temporary and she was absent from the industry for several years. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later it was back in the spotlight. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016.
